Who We Are
Intermountain Succession Capital is an independent sponsor pursuing control acquisitions of durable lower-middle-market businesses in the United States. We look for companies with approximately $5 million to $20 million of normalized EBITDA, resilient cash flow, capable management and advantages that are difficult to replicate.
ISC identifies each opportunity first and then assembles the equity and debt appropriate for that specific business. This allows us to remain selective about what we acquire and flexible around ownership, management participation and seller objectives.
Nick Lall, Managing Director
Nick's approach to investing was shaped first by operating experience. He grew an accounting AI company's office from 47 people to 131, started and ran his own sales-outsourcing business for four years, and managed nationwide sales for a company selling energy-efficient roofing. He holds an MBA from INSEAD and a BA from Columbia University.
That background informs how ISC thinks about service businesses: understanding how work is actually done across the organization and in the field before making changes, recognizing what a company needs as it reaches new levels of scale, and finding talented people and giving them the roles, autonomy and support to multiply their impact.
It also shapes ISC's emphasis on people. We believe employees do their best work when they have trust, autonomy and room to develop, and that in service businesses these conditions can have a direct impact on retention, customer relationships and long-term performance.
